The preconference events were wonderful and the opening plenary and closing plenary each day were also a highlight for me. I enjoyed every presentation I attended as well as my own roundtable presentation which was blessed with the attendance of Cree elder John Jeffries. Juan Mario Perez Martinez, Indigenous Mexican, representing his people, made a huaka‘i to Hilo and traveled to Volcano bearing ho‘okupu from his volcano in Mexico to our volcano in Hawai‘i.

Healing Our Spirit Worldwide – The Sixth Gathering held in Honolulu, Hawai’i Sept. 3-9, 2010 has officially come to a close, but the relationships, friends, and communities that were forged this past week will continue to work towards healing our lands and our people. We’ve had a great week of celebrating each other’s cultures, languages, arts and healing practices. We want to thank you for coming to Hawai’i to share your experiences, best practices, cultural traditions, songs and dances. We’ll be posting pictures and video from the gathering. We would love to have you submit photos of your experiences. If you can identify the people in the images that we’ve uploaded, please email us so we can be sure to update our site.
We look forward to seeing you all in 2013 in Alice Springs, Australia!
